Dan Singer, In Tune Magazine, January 2016

Here is Susie Meissner really delivering on 15 never to be forgotten standards. "If I Were A Bell" (Loesser) is a grand-slam home run swing hitting opener. Susie belts this one out of the park. She slowly with much feeling sings "Tea For Two" (Youmans/Caesar) to the hilt. Oh yes, Ken Peplowski has a delightful clarinet solo midway which only enhances this remarkable standard. "Moonlight Saving Time" (Richman/Kahal) is given a nice upbeat version here. The toe tapping upbeat is heard throughout this oldie. "Moonglow" (DeLange/Mills/Hudson) is sung ever so meaningfully with just a slight beat. It's a treat with plenty of vocal highs that are so difficult for many other singers to reach. "Just You Just Me" (Greer/Klages) is truly just for you and me. Susie sweetly and briskly dashes off an amazing arrangement of this familiar song. "Crazy He Calls Me" (Russell/Sigman) is sung as an emotional reading. She sings all the right notes making it sound so easy. She's certainly a natural.
